歴史息づく一乗谷朝倉氏遺跡の地で「越前朝倉万灯夜」が彩られたこの夏、越前和紙を用いた水墨画の展示を開催いたしました。
会場では、第50回福井県水墨画協会展にて「福井県教育委員会賞」を受賞した『万灯夜に包まれて』を特別展示したほか、一乗谷の涼やかな滝や夏の趣を描いた作品をお披露目いたしました。
今回の展示は、朝倉氏遺跡保存協会様をはじめとする関連団体様による共催・後援と多大なご協力をいただき、実現したものです。また、日頃より素晴らしい和紙を漉き支えてくださる岩野平三郎製紙所の皆様にも、心より深く感謝申し上げます。
折しも展示期間中、すぐ傍らの一乗谷朝倉氏遺跡博物館では特別展『清雅なる紙の往来』が開催されておりました。日頃より愛用している越前和紙とのご縁が、このような形で奇跡的に重なったことをとても嬉しく思っております。
伝統の越前和紙と墨が織りなす、静けさと幻想に満ちた万灯夜の世界観を感じていただけたなら幸いです。ご来場いただいた皆様、誠にありがとうございました。
This summer, during the Echizen Asakura Manto-ya (Lantern Night) held at the historic Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins, I was pleased to present a special exhibition of sumi-e (ink wash painting) created on traditional Echizen washi paper. The showcase featured Wrapped in Manto-ya—which received the Fukui Prefectural Board of Education Prize at the 50th Fukui Prefectural Ink Painting Exhibition—along with several works depicting the serene waterfalls of Ichijodani and seasonal summer themes. This exhibition was made possible through the co-sponsorship, endorsement, and generous support of the Asakura Clan Ruins Preservation Association and many related organizations. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to Iwano Heizaburo Paper Mill for crafting the exceptional paper I rely on every day, and for their constant support. Coincidentally, a special exhibition titled "Elegant Paper Exchanges" was also taking place right nearby at the Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins Museum during this time. It felt like a wonderful stroke of serendipity that this event aligned so beautifully with my own connection to Echizen washi. I hope visitors were able to feel the quiet, magical world woven by Echizen washi and ink. Thank you so much to everyone who attended.

平谷彌勒と彌勒会会員の作品を展示する小さなギャラリー "Gallery 369（ギャラリー・ミロク）" を福井市内に設ける予定です。

We are planning to open a small gallery, "Gallery 369" (Miroku), in Fukui City to exhibit the works of Miroku Hiratani and the members of Miroku-kai. We will provide more details once everything is ready. Thank you for your patience.

プロフィール
東京都生まれ。幼少より書道と水墨画を学び親しむ。
2023年より森川風節氏に師事し、本格的な水墨画活動を再開。全国の公募展などで入選・受賞を重ねる。
2025年からは福井県・石川県にて水墨画教室を開講。自身の制作活動と教室を両立しながら、個展や受講生との展覧会にも精力的に取り組む。福井の「越前和紙」と水墨画の普及活動にも力を注いでいる。
Born in Tokyo, I have been deeply immersed in the world of Japanese calligraphy and Suiboku-ga (ink wash painting) since childhood. In 2023, I began studying under Master Fusetsu Morikawa, fully reviving my creative journey. My work has since earned recognition and awards at numerous national exhibitions. In 2025, I established my own ink wash painting classes across Fukui and Ishikawa Prefectures. I am actively engaged in both my own creation and teaching, holding solo exhibitions as well as group exhibitions with my students. Alongside these efforts, I passionately devote myself to sharing the beauty of traditional Echizen Washi paper and the timeless art of Suiboku-ga.
